The Revelstoke Shuswap region of BC is a hot bed for off roading. The quad trails attract atv owners from across the province and many quadding enthusiasts from Alberta and Saskatchewan as well …
Shelter Bay FSR: Heading out from Revelstoke, taking Highway #23 southward in the direction of the Shelter Bay ferry. At about 6 kms prior to the ferry, turn right onto the Shelter Bay FSR. Heading in a southbound direction along the main road, paralleling Upper Arrow Lake. Camping can be found at the Eagle Bay camp spot, a decent user-maintained camping spot with outhouses and a boat launch which is about 12 kms south. Check out the area then continue up Paint Lake Trail to the Fosthall-Revelstoke Road and Thor.
“The off-road trails in this quad zone are, to say the least, extensive. Trails will funnel you right down to Lower Arrow Lake on the Needles side via the Whatshan River FSR, or west to Highway 6 south of Cherryville, via the Keefer Lake FSR..”
